Dance guides
Wear something you can move in and feel good in. There is no dress code at our parties.
Choose shoes that turn easily and stay on your feet: dance shoes, or smooth-soled shoes with a low heel. Avoid heavy grips, flip-flops and shoes that slip off. Our London Bridge parties are outdoors, so think about the ground too: a stable sole is safer than a very high heel.
Light clothes you can move and turn in work best. Avoid long loose sleeves, big belts or bags that catch your partner’s hands. Bring a layer for the end of the night: it gets cooler by the river.
Leave out large rings and bracelets, which can catch in a turn. Tie long hair back if it swings into your partner’s face. Bring water, and a spare top on a warm night.
Carry only what you need and keep it with you or with a friend.
Come as you are. A good dancer is someone who is kind, listens to the music and enjoys the night.
